Sandra Lee (Cyrus) Barber, 70, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Augusta Health. She was born in Luray on June 25, 1956, a daughter of the late Pete and Teresa Carter.
Sandra graduated from Waynesboro High School and worked as a cashier at Roses, Big Lots and Sharp Shopper. She greatly enjoyed playing slots, gambling, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Carter and the father of her children, Adrian Barber.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy Barber of Waynesboro and Ann Barber (Tony) of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Angel Barber of Waynesboro and Kenny Truslow of Waynesboro; siblings: Jowan Redd (Kirk), Al Cyrus (Katie), and Peter Cyrus; sister-in-law, Audrey Turner (James); a very special aunt, Mary Anderson; nieces and nephews, Starr Harris (Eric), Brittney Cyrus, Brenden Cyrus, Zach Cyrus, Lashaunda Wallace, John Miller, Andrea Turner, and Anasia Cyrus; as well as extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Gospel Light Baptist Church.
